Day 4  — 12 July 2014 (10.7 miles)

We started the day by getting to Hogpen Gap at 8AM to meet up with our shuttle.  Nice lady, great service and pleasant ride over to Woody Gap.

We arrived at Woody ready to go and hit the trail shortly after bailing out of the shuttle.

Our first stop was Preacher Rock, which was in the clouds when we got there.

Once we left there, it was a pleasent hike across to Blood Mountain.20140712_103249 20140712_112848 20140712_151052 20140712_153102 20140712_153840 20140712_151449Then on down to Neels Gap for the night.

The great surprise I carried for Bling was a 2L growler of beer & 5lbs of frozen gel packs (beer was still ice cold!).  Beer & Growler from My Friend’s Growler Shop
